HANBOO SOLUTION / OXI-PAN CARBON FELT

Carbon felt for
graphite electrodes

Oxi-PAN is polyacrylonitrile fiber, thermally stabilized and needle-punched into a dense carbon-black felt. It goes into the graphite-electrode processes behind secondary batteries and ESS — in serial production today, with the heat resistance of a material that chars instead of melting.

Applications

Where Oxi-PAN earns its keep

  • Secondary-battery & ESS graphite electrodes
Carbonized-fiber felt for graphite-electrode production — our core Oxi-PAN application, in serial production and protected by patent 10-2135198.
  • High-temperature process duty
A secondary strength: Oxi-PAN chars instead of melting, so it also serves furnace and process environments where organic felts fail.
  • Flame-barrier layers
Char-forming protective layers in composite constructions.
  • Precursor applications
Oxidized-PAN as a stage toward carbon-fiber materials — development with partners.

From precursor fiber to electrode process

  • PAN precursor fiber
  • Thermal stabilization (oxidation)
  • Fiber opening & carding
  • Needle punching to grade weight — 6A · 6B · 6C
  • Inspection, winding & roll packing
  • Customer electrode process — carbonization · graphitization
